The Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC) provides resources directly to its communities and partners across the region. We are pleased to announce this year’s opportunities, totaling approximately $50 million in funding and technical assistance.
The following provides a brief timeline for application deadlines:
Letters of Intent Due: September 28, 2023
Applications Due: December 7, 2023
Projects Recommended: Spring 2024
* As the first step for the STP, CMAQ, TAP, CRP, and TLC programs, interested applicants should submit a letter of intent (please use the simple, one-page form in the information provided below). For the SAP, CDBG, CIB, and WFEDD programs, refer to the Funding Programs Packet for application timelines.

Transportation and Land Use Connection (TLC) Program
Provides technical assistance to local communities for planning efforts in partnership with Salt Lake County, UDOT, and UTA.
Carbon Reduction Program
Provides funding for transportation projects that reduce on-road carbon dioxide emissions.
Station Area Planning Technical Assistance
Provides technical assistance to develop Station Area Plans, per HB462, within the station area of a fixed-guideway public transit station (rail or BRT).
Community Impact Board
Provides grants and low interest loans to communities that have federally leased land used for mineral extraction.
